My name is Jamie Beelow, I am from Chicago Il. Basically I am here at OTC because college is super expensive. I went to MSU last year and it cost way to much to go back. So, i decided to take the easier route and go to a cimmunity college. Hence why I am at OTC. Last semester i went to a community college by my house back in Chicago. Being home again was fun because i got to see my family, but it was also really annoying because i had already spent a year on my own last year and now i was, once again, stuck at my house. I love my family and i am so greatful for eveything they have done fior me. This past year has been rough, especially with finding my first big girl job. It took me a whole summer to finally find a place to work! But by August i finally found a place that was hiring. I worked at Panera Bread from August until December, by then i had already saved up enough money to head back down to Sptringfield, MO. I'm pretty sure God was testing me throughout this entire journey. Everything that could possibly go wrong with me, went wrong. I was in a car accident, jobless for an entire summer, was sent to the hospital because my lactosse intolerantness returned. Oh man let me tell you God was definetly testing my will. However, i pushed through it all and got to where i am today. I worked 40 hour weeks and went to school at the same time. I pushed myself because I'm not a quiter. I guess that's something i picked up from playing sports my entire life.
Either way i am where i am today and i couldn't be prouder of myself. I don't know why i decided to write about this but it's the first thing that came to mind because i am so in awe that i am here.
