Introduction

My name is Jamie Beelow, I am from Chicago, IL, and I am majoring in Elementary Education with an emphasis in History. I have one brother who is in his first year of college, and a 9 year old sister who truely is my best friend. She's the greatest little punk that has ever come into my life. Many people say that she's my mini me, we look, and act, exactly the same. I have a psycho german shepherd who makes life... interesting. She's incredibly smart, and I'm pretty sure if I ever wrote a book about her it would be a best seller. She's the german shepherd version of Marley. Last year I attended Missouri State University, after a year there I realized college is really expensive... really really expensive. I went home for a semester and attended a community college by my house. After a semester at home, I was able to transfer to a Panera Bread here in Springfield, and I decided then that I was ready to move back to good ol' Springfield. I live with some of the greatest roomates in the world. They mean the world to me and are always there when I need a shoulder to lean on. Since I am from Chicago, I am a HUGE Cubs fan. I know what you're thinking, the Cubs suck. I'll be the first to admit, yeah they aren't the best team in the MLB, however they are my loveable losers and I will never turn my back on them. Football is a huge part of my life, I grew up a daddy's girl and was molded into the Steelers #1 fan. Softball has always been a huge part of my life, actually it took over my life. I'm very athletic and I love to work out and be active. I'm lactose intolerant and it sucks! I use to love eating ice cream, and that love was crushed this past year when I found out I was allergic to it. I'm a huge nerd, and I love reading and going to school. I also have this weird obsession with Batman, I think he's the greatest superhero ever! I have this dork of a boyfriend who is the goofiest person I have ever met. We've been dating for almost a year and I am so greatful for him. That's basically it, I look forward to this semester and can't wait to get to know all of you.
