Free Write 2/19/13

Being away from home really sucks. I live 9 hours away from Springfield, so going home for a weekend isn't really a choice I have. The most interaction i get with my family is phone calls and taxt messages which doesn't really help with my home sickness. Don't get me wrong I love being on my own, which is one of the reasons i left Chicago, but at the same time my family is very close and we are literally one anothers best friends. My little sister, who is 9, got an ipod for christmas so her and I text one another all the time over our ipods. My little sister is my best friend. I don't know what i would do without her. She's the goofiest person I kniow and I wouldnt trade her for the world. She was born 10 years after my brother and I, so we'vebeen there, watching her grow and develop into the amazing child she is today. She's really into ballet and dance, and loves horses, dogs, and her new interest... birds. She's so caring and compassionate and has a giant heart. She doesn't get sarcasm yet, but we are slowly working on that with her. She's my world and I am so grateful I was blessed with a sister like her.

My brother is 18 months younger than I. When we were younger we were eachothers best friends and worst enemies. HOwever, as we grew older we became inseperable. We've always been into all kinds of sports, so having a brother so close in age with me, I became a giant tom boy. I was always out in the mud playing football and baseball with the boys. However, I clean up pretty good. and when i wasn't playing out with the boys I was rockin the flamboyant dresses and playing with my collection of Barbies.

My parents, now they are the greatest people ever! they have always supported any decision I have made, and have always assisted us in any way possible. They are my rock and I am so happy to call them my parents.  They are both super funny and, let's just say, my house is one hell of a time. We are always busting jokes, playing games, and pulling pranks on one another. I love my family.
